Project suitability depends on glass condition, dimensions, electrical access, control type, and the intended level of privacy.

Can Smart Film be installed on existing glass?

Often, yes. The glass must be suitable, clean, stable, and accessible for professional application and concealed electrical connection. We inspect it before confirming a retrofit solution.

Does the glass become completely opaque?

At full privacy, the PDLC layer heavily obscures clear detail while still allowing soft daylight through. It is visual privacy rather than blackout glass, so faint silhouettes can still vary with distance and backlighting.

How is it controlled?

Common options include a wall switch, remote, mobile app, voice assistant, dry contact, access control, meeting-room systems, and building automation.

Can it be used as a projector screen?

Yes. The diffused private state can support rear or front projection, depending on the environment, projector, ambient light, and desired image quality.

What happens during a power failure?

Most PDLC systems default to the private state when power is removed. We confirm the required behaviour and can coordinate it with backup power where needed.

Do you handle installation across the GCC?
